The hotel will boast 269 tastefully decorated rooms, each thoughtfully designed to reflect the hotels neighborhood story, the story of Dubai creek. Other facilities that our guests can expect include an infinity pool deck, fully equipped fitness center and our neighborhood café and bar, both offering seamless service and array of experiences reflecting this expressive neighborhood.

Your day to day

In a nutshell, as Electrician, you will repair, maintain, install and monitor electrical equipment through the hotel and respond to Guests, fellow colleagues, and emergency requests promptly. Specifically, an Electrician will perform the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Perform maintenance work on a wide range of electrical equipment

• Assemble and install electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment

• Install audio/visual equipment in Guest rooms or function rooms along with microphone and lighting systems in function rooms, as requested

• Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency calls

• Conduct inspection tours to ensure that electrical equipment and lighting is working properly

• Complete the preventative maintenance schedule and incident reports

• Maintain all tools, equipment, and working areas to proper condition

• Keep technical training knowledge and skills current

Hotel Indigo Dubai Downtown is scheduled to open Q2 2020 and we are now seeking an experienced and lively Electrician to join our team. This person will be responsible for the maintenance issues in this vibrantly designed lifestyle hotel located in a key location in Dubai. 

As the first lifestyle branded hotel of IHG in the Middle East, this exciting project really is something to be part of. This is a great opportunity for talented hospitality and Engineering professionals to step up in their career and experience a new challenge in a trendy lifestyle brand.

You'll report to the Chief Engineer, and you’ll play a big role in supporting the overall success of the hotel.

The right fit for this role is someone who has solid hotel background with an energetic and fun personality. He/She should be passionate about people and hospitality. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential. If you are this person, we’d like to meet you.

Ideally, you should maintain the attitude, behaviors, skills, and values that follow:

• Luxury hospitality experience in a similar role

• An electrical trade qualification, required

• Current knowledge of general maintenance, engineering work, and Guest room repairs

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to work without close supervision and within established timeframes

• Strong work ethic

• A passion for managing a variety of projects and tasks throughout the day
