IBM Research is looking for team members who are passionate about innovation in operating systems and their application and evolution to production level Cloud development. As part of our team, we will create the next generation operating system, based on Linux kernel, with advanced security properties to enable Chapter 2 of Cloud Computing, to support regulated industries (e.g. financial sector and healthcare) in Public Cloud deployments.This job opening targets individuals who are passionate about advanced innovations in the Linux operating system, to evolve it as the basis to define the next generation virtualized environment. We are seeking candidates who are passionate about virtualization technologies and want to grow their professional experience in this field. The ideal candidate has some experience (e.g. PhD or master thesis) in building solutions on top of virtualization technologies, such as QEMU and KVM, Intel-VT/AMD-V/Arm Virtualization, or Docker and other container Clouds.
