The Public Service Sector consulting practice is a trusted advisor to federal, state and local governments, partnering to meet challenges and responding quickly to citizen demands, business needs, new economic conditions, and changing legislative priorities and policies.
The Microsoft SQL Database Administrator position will include the following duties:
· Microsoft SQL Server database installation, administration, and clustering of a large-scale Production Environment, including performance tuning and troubleshooting of database performance issues.
· Knowledge of using tools to detect database issues and tune the database cluster for optimum performance.
· The person would also perform the role of SQL Server SME and provide mentorship for improvement in database layer.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
· 5+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server administration.
· 5+ years of experience inMicrosoft SQL Server performance tuning.
· 5+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server backup & recovery.
· 2+ years of experience in Microsoft SQL Server clustering.
· 2+ years of relevant IT/Business experience preferably within the DoD environment (US Army).
