This role will be based at the IBM Studios in Austin, Texas

The IBM Employee Experience Design team is looking for a Designer who wants to join our quest to create delightful and impactful IBMer experiences around the globe. As a team, our mission is to create impactful employee-centered HR experiences that enable IBMers to perform at their best. Our team is not just passionate about crafting great employee experiences but also about transforming the way our global HR teams work, collaborating across organizational and geographical boundaries, and delivering outcomes across many varied channels and mediums.

Individual responsibilities:
·  Supporting the team's research practice, methodologies (contextual inquiry, quantitative/qualitative methods), and producing actionable artifacts (user personas, mental models, empathy maps, scenarios and journeys, market analysis, etc.)
·  Authoring surveys and interview guides to support teams
·  Helping the team to be analytical and non-biased towards outcomes
·  Establishing core, scalable user research practices for the team and the HR org
·  Embedding and integrating user research frameworks into team's Agile practice

Team responsibilities include:
·  Co-creating and ensuring quality delivery of team outcomes, standards, and methods
·  Ensuring the successful tracking and completion of multiple interrelated projects and initiatives on schedule using design thinking and agile principles
·  Actively creating communications, designs, and experiences, both digital and non-digital
·  Giving and receiving constructive critique and feedback with multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and executive sponsors

Skills Required:
·  Structuring and standardizing research practices on multi-disciplinary teams
·  Ability to express principles of and make business case for research methods
·  Identifying and communicating high priority questions and opportunities for research to lead team and stakeholders towards strategic opportunities and tactical improvements
·  Recruiting appropriate participants for research plans and goals
·  Conducting research methods and activities to capture and analyze qualitative and quantitative data
·  Delivering compelling stories to communicate actionable insights for team and stakeholders
·  Application of Enterprise Design Thinking principles to projects and initiatives
·  Creative, systems-thinking, and problem solving skills
·  Collaboration and senior stakeholder management skills
·  Verbal and written communication and presentation skills
·  Ability to integrate user and business needs within a clear storytelling narrative
