Job description



Multi-award winning luxury hotel, the Park Hyatt Sydney seeks and experienced Director of Food and Beverage to lead our professional and dynanic Food and Beverage team on a full-time basis. As a member of the hotel's Leadership Committee, the Director of Food and Beverage is responsible for overseeing and directing our signature restaurant The Dining Room, The Living Room & Bar, Events and Stewarding.

Duties include:

· Responsible for the short and long term planning and the management of the Food and Beverage operations
· Develop and recommend the budget, marketing plans and objectives and manages within those approved plans
· Implement and maintain Food and Beverage sales and marketing programs
· Direct and oversee the nurturing and development of the Food and Beverage team
· Coordinate food and beverage operations, working closely with the culinary team, to ensure excellent guest service
· Resolve guest complaints as appropriate to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and quality
· Perform daily walk-throughs to ensure full compliance with occupational health and safety regulations and Hyatt corporate standards, especially in respect to hygiene
· Coach and counsel colleagues to reflect Hyatt's purpose of care and standards

Desired profile



Qualifications :

·  Solid and progressive hotel Food and Beverage experience with strong knowledge of wines
·  Demonstrated ability to effectively interact with people of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds
·  Service oriented style with professional presentation skills and high level of creativity
·  At least three years experience in a senior role in a Food and Beverage environment
·  Proven leadership skills
·  Hospitality degree an asset
·  Clear and conise written and verbal communication skills
·  Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
·  Must have excellent organisational, interpersonal and administrative skills
·  Experience implementing new Food and Beverage concepts
