·
Manage design and brand stakeholders within Commercial Banking, Corporate & Institutional Digital and HSBC Group.

·
Be an active, motivated and inspired member of the team.

Essential skills required:

·
Deep understanding of UCD processes / application design.

·
Excellent written and spoken communication skills; an ability to communicate with impact, ensuring complex information is articulated in a meaningful way to internal teams and stakeholders alike.

·
Track record of translating business problems and requirements into compelling design experiences

·
Skills in working across disparate / geographically dispersed teams.

·
Resourcefulness and independence; a desire to find ways to continually improve the service delivered to customers.

·
Expertise in conceptual design.

·
Past working experience of developing robust design documentation.

·
Established experience working in financial services.

·
Taking designs from concept through to delivery.

·
Excellent stakeholder management experience.

·
Definition and ownership of UX standards.

·
Be able to use the usual design and prototyping software to a high standard (Such as: Axure, Sketch, Invision, Omnigraffle etc.).

·
Be able to help plan, develop and execute user research to inform design decisions.

·
Be able to lead and stimulate discussions about design concepts and approaches, demonstrating an ability to provide strong creative leadership.

·
Give and receive critical feedback and praise.

·
Understand the scope you are working to, define project activities, estimate effort and ask for help when needed.

·
Can propose early design hypothesis as a starting point for collaborative iteration (happy being publicly wrong too).

·
Be aware of limits of knowledge and can self-challenge; open to counterbalancing input from others.

·
Be self-taught, understand new things by trying them, doing them, building them.

·
Seek out opportunities to learn from other disciplines.

About you:

·
You are delightfully non-ego driven.

·
You are full of energy and passion for what you do.

·
You are constantly learning by teaching yourself and challenging your own and thinking.

·
You make others around you better by consciously teaching and unconsciously inspiring.

·
You have a strong work ethic, are well organised, can manage complexity across multiple projects.

·
You have an eye for detail and ‘good enough' never is.

Under the Company's internal 'Back to Front'/'Front to Back' transfer policy this role may be classed as High Risk. As a result, internal candidates may require enhanced approvals and vetting checks if they are currently employed in a Front Office department, or if they have worked in a Front Office department within the last 5 years (please refer to the HR FIM definition for further guidance). The enhanced approvals and vetting would need to be completed before the candidate will be confirmed in the role.
