Job Details:

An Information Developer possesses a general passion for technology, strong technical-communication skills, and deep understanding of coding and data administration in the big data /data analytics space,

In this role, you will identify what content will enable Data Fabric customers (data administrators or application developers) to be successful. You will design and create that content primarily using text and illustrations. You will work on fast-moving projects that typically have high complexity, impact, and visibility. You will regularly exercise significant judgment within your project area and you will be expected to work independently with the guidance of experienced team members. You will leverage productivity tools like Jira to manage your work load and source management tools Git and Github to manage your changes in the shared work environment.  You will work on multiple work items simultaneously, so you must be able to track and manage your work using the supplied tools.

You will work under the guidance of experienced Information Developers and your manager.

You will work with developers, product managers, and sales engineers to identify new features and content that needs to be improved. You must test the procedures you create, so you must become comfortable testing products that are in development.

The HPE Ezmeral Data Fabric team has a highly collaborative culture, so you will be expected to work well in a team environment.

Required Skills:

·  Proven ability to communicate via text and graphics in English
·  Ability to read  and write code, particularly Java, Python, and similar languages.
·  Understanding of open-source software.
·  Ability to use typical content-creation tools (Word, Excel, Google docs, etc)
·  Ability to prepare and give presentations

Additional Skills:

·  Topic-based writing and minimalistic writing
·  UNIX/Linux administration skills -can be learned on the job
·  Oxygen XML editor,
·  Camtasia, Visio,
·  DITA
·  Git
·  Jira
·  Teams, Yammer, SharePoint

Experience and Education:

Requires BS in CS or a BS in engineering or technical communication with a CS minor. Optimally, applicants will also have technical-communication experience via internships or school projects. Writing samples will be requested and you will be required to do a basic writing skills test.
