Ecosystems Edge/IoT Business Analyst

The Intelligent Edge is bringing in a new era of computing. Analysts believe that by 2025, more than 75% of Data will originate at the Edge. Most of this will come from IoT related scenarios. The HPE Ecosystem Sales teams is looking for a Global Ecosystem Manager focused on the Edge and IoT ecosystem partners. The role will advance joint innovation and GTM scenarios resulting in mutual revenue growth, and where appropriate, seek to build strategic executive relationships externally with partners and internally within company. This role will partner with internal and external resources to develop best-in-class joint solutions for the customer around Edge and IoT scenarios, resolve partner problems, and participate in important negotiations as needed.

Responsibilities

·  Execute on the Global GTM and sales plays in conjunction with the Ecosystem Director and field resources
·  Ensure revenue and other key KPI targets are exceeded
·  Assist field and partner resources on POC’s and Sales calls for strategic and large opportunities
·  Represent HPE at various partner, HPE, and other events
·  Develop field and channel focused collateral in conjunction with Business Units, Partners, and Marketing
·  Provide field with training via participation in person or webinars
·  Monitor progress of various initiatives and tweak plans as appropriate for optimal business outcomes
·  Apply industry-specific expertise to recommend and coordinate the development, enhancement, and maintenance of a client’s business systems, processes, and products using high-maturity methods, processes and tools.
·  Combine industry expertise with a thorough understanding of information technology to develop innovative business solutions. Influence the strategic direction of clients.
·  Through self-directed activities act as a liaison between client and technical groups, using superior communication skills to elicit, document, analyse, and validate requirements.
·  Lead analysis teams on large projects. Lead requirements management and change management processes.
·  Direct development of visualization, and user experience elements of solution design.
·  Develop and maintain internal and external relationships to manage scope, schedule, budgets and expectations.
·  Lead business studies and present study results to the company and client senior management.
·  Coordinate and participate in proposals, feasibility studies, and new business development activities.
·  Leverage industry knowledge and client relationships to assess the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment and to identify new business opportunities. Promote and direct process improvement activities and training of peers and clients.

Education and Experience

·  Typically a Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business discipline or equivalent experience and ideally a minimum of 5-8 years of related experience or a Master’s degree and a minimum of 3-6 years of experience.
·  Experience with Edge and IoT area related solutions (IoT Edge, 5G Edge, NFV etc)
·  Experience working with HPE hardware and services (Edgeline, GreenLake, Big Data Plays, Container or other edge/IoT related technology)
·  Ideally 3+ years working directly with partners in alliance, sales, or other roles in a global organization
·  Experience running QBR’s/Exec briefings with partners to drive co-innovation and a Rhythm of Business (RoB)
·  Recognized industry certifications are a plus

Knowledge and Skills

·  Understanding of Edge and IoT scenarios around Manufacturing, Telco, or other verticals
·  Coordination with multiple stakeholders to drive joint events, projects.
·  Determination using structured techniques for documentation, analysis, evaluation/ validation.
·  Decomposition of high-level information into details; abstracting low-level information; distinguishing requests vs needs; distinguishing requirements vs. solutions.
·  Classifying prioritizing requirements; OO techniques using UML models; ambiguity analysis, ensuring consistent understanding across users, designers and testers; business process modeling of current state and desired future state processes; defining and managing scope and client expectations, requirements change management and traceability; identifying and mitigating risks; applying creativity/ innovation to solving complex problems; building relationships and working collaboratively; developing and communicating a vision for project/ system; providing thought leadership; mentoring; effective verbal/ written communication; preparing and delivering effective presentations; experience in one or more industry domains.
·  Specialized: Function Point counting; survey design and execution; statistical analysis; developing structured user manuals and training; visualization modeling; business rules modeling; develop and executing acceptance test plans.
·  Ability to manage and juggle multiple complex tasks in a matrixed environment

Complexity

·  Leads analysis teams to define requirements and design innovative solutions to complex business and technology problems.

Facilitates requirements gathering workshops/QBR’s/Summits with Partners in conjunction with various internal teams/execs and partners
