Your Responsibilities :

SMART will be developed as backup strategy to current MATS process, in order to provide a simplified assessment of the preventive potential of our MenB vaccine, allowing the estimation of overall OMV contribution currently lacking in MATS.
The SMART strategy is based on a 4-plex Luminex assay format that allows Bexsero antigens expressed by any circulating MenB strain to be detected in a single well.
The statistician will support the set up and the development of SMART assay. He/she will perform the statistical analysis needed to demonstrate the assay feasibility and robustness. In addition he/she will provide a statistical analysis to demonstrate the correlation between SMART and bactericidal assay.

Project description: main purpose, activities and expected results.

Contribute to the design of lab experiments (set-up and develop assay and study protocols)
Analyze experimental data
Communicate and share results and conclusions with preclinical scientists and technicians.
Ensure quality and scientific pertinence of proposed solutions, implementation, execution, and outcomes.
Perform data management (SAS/R/JMP), cleaning and preparation of analyses datasets
Develop simple routines (R&R analysis, definition of LLOQ, standard analysis using SAS, R, JMP)
Perform standard/routine stat analyses (under the supervision of the stat responsible using SAS/R/JMP) and perform descriptive analysis using graphs (SAS/R/JMP)
Write stat reports

Competencies the intern will develop thanks to the internship experience:
- Hands on pharma data from design of the experiment to the analysis of the experimental data
- Interaction with key stakeholders of the project (Innovation, preclinical scientists and statisticians)
- Understanding of the written standards and quality standards of GSK

Why You?

Basic qualifications:
- English language (especially for writing documents and reports) mandatory
- Knowledge of the following languages would be a plus: SAS / R / JMP
- Master's Degree in Biostatistics
