Job Description
Role overview:
Part of a regional team centralized in Hong Kong, he is in charge of connectivity with brokers and regional market gateways and provides advanced users support on trading systems for Equity Markets as well as development skills.
He is also in charge of Market Making platform i.e automatons and pricing setup/maintenance and has strong knowledge of market making environment.
The role is covering technical and functional expertise on the perimeter and requires strong coordination with business lines, BA and other IT teams
Reporting line : Head of IT Equity– APAC
Main Responsibilities:
· Maintains and supports the regional Market gateways (Japan and Hong Kong) including production support, fault & performance monitoring & preventative maintenance
· Attends regular IT EP (Exchange participant) meetings and participate in Market Rehearsals.
· Maintains Horizon platform, monitors its activity & compatibility in-line with Exchanges changes
· QA Automations and pricer for market making
· Setup and maintain market making environment
· Strong ability to react under stress
· Develop and maintain (i.e coding) controls, check and optimization
· Manages Market rules and ensure platform compliance including short-sell, restricted lists
· Provides detailed troubleshooting for downstream STP fed from e-trading platforms
· Validates and deploys platform GUI/components delivered by Head Office and/or vendor through regression tests, following Head Office guidelines and best practices
· Reports major bugs found and liaise with third parties to fix them
· Follows up IT Incidents and IT change management to an auditable level
· Maintains site documentation and operational procedures to an auditable level
