The opportunity:
Within the EHS team of our Tire Plant, you will have the opportunity to:
•Evaluate aspects, impacts opportunities, risks, and legal requirements in order to coordinate actions/projects to support the plant be compliant with legal requirements, with the operating permit and environmental protection
•Provide trainings to associates and others (contractors, interns,etc) to ensure compliance with Goodyear and Legal requirements and to reinforce the culture related to Environment and Health. Coach and advise associates to reinforce the Environment and Health culture.
•Ensure the procedures of the Environment Management System are respecting Goodyear, legal & other requirements; and are practical, objective, clear and monitored
•Communicate/be the interface of Goodyear with Environmental, Health and Safety local authorities and external bodies in order to support the plant projects and processes, and to anticipate and prepare the plant to avoid future risks/liabilities
•Support on the Environmental, Health and Safety performance and on the environment near miss or incident investigation / root cause analysis and definition of actions
•Provide to the plant expertise in terms of environmental solutions/technologies and support the plant making management of change for ensuring environmental protection and conservation
To join our team you will need:
Education:
The candidate should have Master Degree in environmental engineering, or EHS Engineering
Languages:
English and French are a must
Experience:
Minimum of 2 years experience on manufacturing/industryenvironment
Skills & Qualifications:
•Significant health and environment knowledge. Expert knowledge of EU directives, Risk Management Plan, EU permitting and regulatory interpretations.
•Knowledge of European and Luxembourg Environment and health regulations and understanding of global regulations/directives.
•Ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience. Good communication and interpersonal skills
•Strong ability to understand, anticipate and mitigate health and Environmental issues that may arise from process/product changes.
•Demonstrated ability and willingness to introduce new systems and processes. Self-starter and ability to lead complex projects.
•Effective communicator with all local administration and all levels
•Ability to drive many projects simultaneously
•Strong presence on the shop floor to demonstrate the willingness of the company to respect all health and environmental rules at all levels of the organization
•Sense of urgency and responsibility
•Initiative and capability to work independently and in teams
•Resultsoriented
•Knowledge on safety is an asset
