Role Summary/Purpose

As a working student/intern in additive manufacturing you be part of the AddWorks team and work on latest manufacturing technologies and related simulation processes. You will also be exposed to the latest additive manufacturing technology and designs of internal and external customers.
Essential Responsibilities

• Support build jobs through process simulation using in-house and commercial available tools
• Develop pre- and post-processing tools to stream line the simulation process and the assessment of the results
• Document the simulation process and tool capabilities
• Support introduction of new tools in the build job preparation work flow
Qualifications/Requirements

- First knowledge of simulation process (e.g. pre-processing, meshing, boundary conditions)
- Basic knowledge of material properties and part quality management (e.g. NDT)
- Good academic track record
- Excellent communication skills
- Can-do attitude
- Open and creative
- Team-work & commitment in a complex multi-site network structure
- Fluency in English
Desired Characteristics

• Knowledge of CFD/FEM simulation packages
• Interest on manufacturing technologies and in particular additive manufacturing
• Good experience with Office packages (Word, Powerpoint)
• Experience in scripting (VBA, shell, etc) and numerical analysis (FEM, CFD) desirable
