Role Summary/Purpose

It is an exciting time to be joining our Cheltenham site where we are working on some of aviation’s biggest platforms!  This role will be responsible maintaining Test Equipment, Investigations and product enhancements, utilizing the existing extensive knowledge and resource pool. Responsible for cable harness repair, modifications and updates.  Rewiring of existing equipment and panels.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Construction and repair of Test Equipment Harnesses for production and Engineering E.g. Triage, Repair and Construction of Test Equipment Harnesses for production and engineering departments using various materials, parts and techniques. 
·  Working with the team members, from manufacturing to support investigations and product enhancements. 
·  Report documentation/Drawings amendment to Engineering. 
·  Buying parts for Production TE Build. Also responsible for materials e.g. Sleeving, cabling and stock levels. 
·  Own the TE register for the Test Equipment (TE) hardware and spares. 
·  Coordinate with Calibration department to ensure test solution, fixtures and cables are appropriately calibrated prior to use. 
·  Work with other areas of the business to transfer assets between functions. 
·  Preventative Maintenance coordinate and control. 
·  Co-ordinating component and spares inventory
Qualifications/Requirements

You will be a self-motivated team player with effective communication and influencing skills. 
Ideally you will be educated to City and Guilds standard in a relevant discipline, demonstrable experience within a manufacturing / engineering environment.

The role will require a hands-on approach, so candidates will need to demonstrate: 

·  Cable form manufacturing to include splicing and crimping and soldering to the required manufacturer standards. 
·  Strong organisational skills. 
·  The ability to interpret assembly & test instructions. 
·  Clear documentation skills MS Word and MS Excel. 
·  Good communication skills. 
·  Will possess general workshop skills. 
·  Keep a tidy working environment. 
·  Ability to work as part of a fast-paced team
·  Ability to coordinate several projects/tasks simultaneously 
·  Be able to read wiring diagrams, wiring lists and schematics. 
·  Continuity/resistance/insulation and bonding testing.

practices would be advantageous
