Role Summary/Purpose

In this role the Rotating Components Junior Design Engineer is expected to perform the mechanical design and integrity analyses within the Rotating Component Design organisation, both in NPI and post certification phases.
Specifically she/he will be the engineer responsible (HW Owner) for the assigned components manufactured in the Rivalta manufacturing plant.
As Components HW owner he will interface with Engineering Technical Leader and with Supply Chain (Manufacturing, Quality and Sourcing).
Essential Responsibilities

Your main responsibilities will be: 

·  NPI 
·  develop components design to meet the applicable mechanical integrity requirements in line with the product specifications (developing different design concepts using CAD and running applicable FE analysis), and considering all the potential design constraint 
·  work effectively with design teams to develop solutions within defined deadlines and time constraints 
·  Be responsible for preparation and presentation of Technical Reviews, (Chief Engineers consultation, NPI reviews)

Production Support: 
·  assessment and substantiation of non-conformances, proper document them 
·  requirement setting and support the manufacturing Validation process 
·  definition and delivery of repair procedures 
·  support to Process Improvement and DPU reduction projects 
·  Definition and substantiation of Component Engineering Change

Support to Priority Part Review (PPRs) activities: 
·  Be part of the engineering Team during all phases of the process, up to the resolution of any finding and closure of associated actions

Field Support
·  Support field investigations, processing of analysis models and delivery of technical reports to support the Life Cycle Engineering Team. 
·  support Repair Engineering Team to update Repair Notes documentation 
·  assess and substantiate Reuse Deviation Report and repair scheme validations.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Master Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering 
·  Basic knowledge of CAD tool 
·  Good capability of running FE structural analysis (static/dynamic), of conducting mechanical assessment (LCF/HCF/creep), and of performing quick hand calculation (e.g. stack up). 
·  Ability to interface with a multi-functional team, not in a direct reporting relationship, including technical people from different departments/companies/research centers
·  Self-directed and motivated 
·  Open mindset and strong team player 
·  Italian mother tongue and fluent written and spoken English 
·  EU Work Permit
