Role Summary/Purpose

Reporting into the site Logistics Leader, the role will be responsible for all Final Release of Cheltenham products in line with the Site Quality Management System & Civil Aerospace regulatory requirements.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Certification Release staff are responsible for all OE product release that requires certification/airworthiness release from the Cheltenham facility. 
·  In this role you will be required to meet day to day short term objectives and resolve issues through immediate action or short term planning. 

·  You will ensure that final unit / spares quality releases are moving through the process ensuring the maximisation of output for both On Time Delivery and Cost of Goods Sold (COGS). 
·  In addition you will: 
·  Raise release documentation from the business system. 
·  Certificate EASA Form 1 Airworthiness Release on behalf of GE Aviation. 
·  Perform external/internal delegated Source Inspection on applicable customer products. 
·  Co-ordinate arrangements for Customers/Regulatory/Government Source Inspection. 
·  Assist in defining, monitoring & improving daily metrics within the Logistics area. 
·  Assist with identifying, driving and coaching others on the implementation of solutions that drive improvement. 
·  Support Logistics Outbound Team Leader in daily meeting to drive actions and improvements. 
·  Find ways of enhancing flexibility within the release centre to enable more product to flow into the area.

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Strong attention to detail 
·  Strong written and verbal communication skills 
·  Strong interpersonal skills 
·  Proven working knowledge of Quality systems 
·  Working knowledge of Oracle Business systems would be highly advantageous 
·  Ability to anticipate customer needs and ensure that they are met
