Role Summary/Purpose

We are looking for an Operation support specialist to join the Ashalim O&M Team.
Essential Responsibilities

• Evaluate production processes and performance improvement projects for optimization.
• Develop processes to ensure quality and efficiency requirements are met.
• Manage the Permit to work process (PTW)– Ensure and improve the current process and PTW equipment.
• Initiates & update company procedures using Facility designer’s operation manuals/procedures and equipment Vendors' instructions.
• Analyze and review the execution of operation walk downs and routines.
• Manage the shift roster and align the timing for training or additional activity.
• Monitor plant operating conditions, including weather and environmental conditions to try and avoid safety hazards.
• Produce and send daily load plan to IEC and operational reports.
• Support operation team and ERT team, provide coverage for shift rotation if needed.
• Develop, record and retain applicable plant operations and data
• Manage operation digital tools.
• Carry out root cause analysis and troubleshoot malfunctions and operating defects/ technical events.
• Work with operation simulator according to the need.
• Work in cooperation with GE O&M Center of Excellence (CoE) team, GE Engineering and other O&M support functions.
• Assist the operation manager in ensuring achievement of key operating objectives in the areas of employee safety, employee relations, environmental, profitability, unit availability, efficiency, equipment safety, training and qualification of operation team and reliability in full compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, polices, and procedures.
Qualifications/Requirements

• Familiarity with the Power Plant and related equipment (>3 Yrs.)
• Excellent English, verbal and written
• Good MS Office knowledge
• Ability to plan organize, schedule, and direct varied programs and tasks
• Must be able to read and understand control logistic diagrams, P&IDs, and other technical material pertinent to power plant operation.
• Will occasionally work at heights, climb ladders, stairways, and work of platforms.
• Ability to work nights and weekends in case of emergencies and travel occasionally
• Hands on approach and willing to work under pressure
• Ability to effectively assess and prioritize tasks, risks and resources and adjust daily activities to changing needs
• Excellent interpersonal skills and teamwork
