Role Summary/Purpose

As Civil BOP Proposal Engineer you are working within the Commercial Operations function in Europe and subsaharan Africa. You support all bidding activities with feasibility, cost and schedule information to ensure flawless bidding & other commercial activities. This includes the development of full turnkey EPC proposals, as well as optimizing roads & platforms for projects with standard installation scope. The team is closely working with Sales, CommOps, Project Management and Engineering.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Review, evaluation and commenting of civil tender documents to determine customer requirements

·  Preparation and optimization of cost position and offers for all civil BOP items (foundations, roads, hardstands and trenches) during the sales phase

·  Assistance to Sales for all civil BOP related items during negotiation process

·  Technical evaluation of wind farm layout, technical drawings, quantities calculation, definition of subgrade, drainages and pavement, etc.

·  Preparation of RFQ (Request for quotation) documentation and execution of tendering process for civil subcontractor proposals

·  Support subcontractors and partner evaluation &selection

·  Handover all contractual provisions for civil BOP to Project Management after contract closure

·  Preparation of customer facing technical specifications and scope descriptions related to civil engineering and design

Qualifications/Requirements

·  BSc/MSc Civil Engineering, BSc/MSc Architect with civil experience, BSc/MSc Mining Engineering or equivalent knowledge or experience

·  Experience in construction, civil tendering preferable in the Wind Onshore Industry and/or Substations

·  Good communication skills

·  Ability to take decisions in the face of limited or conflicting data

·  Ability to manage multiple transactions and priorities simultaneously

·  Ability and willingness to travel (Regionally, 20% - 30%) to support customer negotiations and partner/ subcontractor evaluations, negotiations

·  Fluency in English and in either German or Spanish

This position will either be filled in Germany or Spain.
