Role Summary/Purpose

This individual is responsible at Hydro EMEA level of project accounting guidance, financial closing, reporting and analyst of project balance sheet in US GAAP as well as oversights of controls around project margin review and revenue recognition process. This role will involve in working hand in hand with EMEA OTR finance and supply chain finance together with Hydro HQ controllership team and internal auditors

Essential Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities are as follow:

·  Provide accounting guidance and necessary trainings on project accounting to EMEA OTR finance and supply chain finance or broader OTR and supply chain operation team in line with US GAAP and business policies

·  Ensure control framework around project margin review is effective. This includes participating in project margin reviews, reviewing exceptions on project margin review assumptions, reviewing proper controls in place, coordinate Sox audits with internal and external auditors

·  Lead quarterly revenue recognition cut-off process with EMEA OTR finance and supply chain finance in coordination with Hydro HQ controllership, internal and external auditors

·  Lead quarterly project balance sheet review process with HQ/EMEA OTR finance, including risk assessment, supporting analysis, providing solutions as well as driving closures of action items

·  Lead quarterly project balance sheet account reconciliation process

·  Lead monthly and quarterly closing and reporting process for project balance sheet

·  Lead global and EMEA system initiatives around project balance sheet, including PowerMax (SAP) and KEOPS

Qualifications/Requirements

This role will require at a minimum an individual that has the following skills:

·  Bachelor degree or equivalent knowledge or work experience

·  Significant experience of finance or accounting experience

·  Can demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to work cross functionally

·  Strong knowledge of US GAAP project accounting

·  Ability work in a strongly multicultural environment with numerous locations and time zones

Desired Characteristics

·  Experience in SAP system especially in project accounting module would be beneficial

·  Capacity to build and simplify, being able to demonstrate past experience of streamlining processes would be a plus

·  Strong analytical and prioritization skills that enable to manage multiple priorities in a team environment with multiple functions involved in one process

·  Strong Influential leadership, having a track record of leading initiatives and building relationships in a global organization would be strongly beneficial
