Role Summary/Purpose

Are you looking to fast track your career with the opportunity to gain a foundation degree whilst working for GE? This exciting position at GE Aviation, based in Cheltenham, will allow you to gain a breadth of experience in a variety of different functions within the business.
Essential Responsibilities

If you have drive, initiative and tenacity to get ahead at GE, the Higher Business Apprenticeship is for you. 

This scheme will lead to a Bachelor’s degree in Leadership Capability, which combines all aspects of knowledge a good leader requires to be successful in a management position here at GE. Not only will GE provide you with the academic understanding of a managerial role such as supply chain management, organisational management and workforce development for example, we will also provide you with on the job training and GE corporate training focusing on your soft skills. 

This scheme will allow you to gain a range of experiences in a number of important functional areas of business for example, Operations, Sourcing, Materials and Quality to name a few. This is a rotational scheme, not only will you be studying towards a Bachelor’s Degree, but you will be rotating between departments within the business, learning new skills and gaining business awareness, whilst building those vital networks which will help you to enhance your career with GE Aviation. 

The duration of the training scheme will be four years. This programme will enhance your knowledge of GE and help to shape your GE managerial skills for the future.

Qualifications/Requirements

We are looking for candidates who show leadership potential, be that in the class room or on the sports pitch, and demonstrate a passion to lead teams, in addition to: 

3 A-levels or equivalent at grade C or above
Strong interpersonal and organisational skills 
Good team player 
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills 
Good problem-solving skills 
Good time management
