Role Summary/Purpose

The Project Manager within the Baker Hughes, a GE Company (BHGE) Measurement & Sensing (M&S) organization will be responsible for the successful execution of projects and / or programs of significant business impact to ensure the financial and Customer requirements are met.
Essential Responsibilities

In the role of Engineering Project Manager, you will:

·  Work with Product Management to clearly establish and communicate business goals and Customer requirements to key stakeholders

·  Complete detailed planning and create deterministic project schedules across all functions

·  Demonstrate strong project management rigor and drive project activities to ensure on-schedule and on-cost delivery

·  Assess and proactively manage requirements, resources, risks, project budgets and product cost and develop and implement mitigation plans where appropriate

·  Execute programs with a sense of urgency and develop recovery plans if/when delays are encountered

·  Present real-time project updates to stakeholders, Management, team members and Customer

·  Be responsible for project execution

·  Ensuring alignment with BHGE processes and procedures

·  Enabling maximum project/program execution efficiency including management of resources across multiple concurrent projects

·  Ensuring effective and smooth product/process implementation handoff between Sales, Engineering and Supply Chain functions

·  Incorporating project management best practices and lessons learned into the appropriate business processes

·  Ensure achievable project schedules and resource alignment is included in project proposals during the Inquiry to Order (ITO) phase

·  Identify areas for continuous improvement through implementing an effective project lessons learned process
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and/or Business from an accredited college or university

·  Minimum 3 years of project management experience comprised of multi-disciplined teams
Desired Characteristics

·  Demonstrated Project/Program Management capabilities and experience with project scheduling software (such as Primavera P6)

·  Self-starter, who brings high energy level and a positive attitude

·  Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills

·  Ability to anticipate events and develop adaptive strategies/remedies

·  Ability to lead and influence others without alienation, in a geo-dispersed matrixed organization

·  Strong problem-solving skills

·  Working knowledge of scheduling, project controls, staffing and developing analyses and reporting of project schedules and resource demand curves

·  Sense of urgency when dealing with issues and tasks

·  Solid business and financial acumen

·  Strong team leadership and team building skills

·  Able to work well under pressure

·  Experience managing projects in the oil and gas and/or power market segments

·  PMP Certification
