Role Summary/Purpose

The Engineer will work under the guidance of an engineering manager or senior level engineer and be responsible for supporting complex and detailed product development programs for aeronautic and industrial applications. In this role you will utilize your engineering experience / expertise to solve problems in the broad context of the system dynamics, which include rotor-dynamics, gear-dynamics, torsional dynamics, frequency response, rotor-stability, Prognostic & Health Monitoring (PHM).
Essential Responsibilities

More specifally you will: 

·  Support and execute engine system dynamic analysis as needed by new product definition from its initial concept thru the full NPI cycle. 
·  Contribute to develop and advance the dynamic technology roadmap thru NTI programs execution 
·  Support field investigations from the dynamic prospective. 
·  Suggest and provide design solutions for the challenges related to system dynamics. 
·  Implement the guidelines/inputs received in order to improve/upgrade design processes from the Dynamic analysis prospective. 
·  According with the field lessons learnt provide feedback to improve/align current DPs and methods. 
·  Execute, with guidance from senior engineering resources, the analysis, design, test, or integration required to define and support assigned components, assemblies or systems that meet business standards and program / product requirements 
·  Prepare and present technical data to internal and external customers 
·  Participate on teams assigned to address specific organizational initiatives 
·  Prepare invention disclosures to protect the technology that provides a competitive advantage to the business 
·  Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks consistent with engineering policies and procedures 
·  Proactively support and/or execute other Engineering tasks and initiatives. 
·  Remain current in the state of the art within own technical specialty for new products introduction activity, performance improvements, cost reductions and problem resolutions.

Qualifications/Requirements

·  Master Degree in Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university. 
·  Knowledge of key aeronautical engines layout, architecture and mechanical systems arrangements. 
·  Knowledge of Structure Dynamics simulation techniques and Rotor-Dynamics Fundamentals. 
·  Preliminary Knowledge in gearbox kinematics. 
·  Fluency in English and Italian language, both written and oral. 
·  EU Work Permit. 
·  The ability to produce clear, concise reports and other documentation, of appropriate quality.
