Role Summary/Purpose

BHGE, Measurement & Controls, are a leading provider of Control Solution. The Platforms Engineering Team located at Pune is involved in Product & Software Design Engineering working on building new age productivity tools, inhouse SW solutions and platform sustaining activities. An Engineering Tool Design Engineer plays a crucial role in development, deployment and sustaining Engineering Tools and this position offers tremendous learning and growth opportunities in the related domains.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Analyze, design and Implement the Business Requirements
·  Defining, developing and maintaining RESTful APIs
Hands on Scripting Tools(Shell Scripting / PowerShell etc.) 
·  Hands-on in design & implementation, automation of manual processes and tools development 
·  Write, debug, test and deploy code to production; deliver timely fixes 
·  Reviews and provide resolutions of design, code, system and application level implementations
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT (or related field) or equivalent experience
·  2 to 8 years of working experience, at least 2 years into Core Java and Advance Java Technologies
·  Knowledge on JVM performance tuning and memory management
·  Good understanding of memory management in non-garbage collected environments. Implement performance and quality modules
·  Hands-on experience into Micro-services, REST APIs, Containerization
·  In- depth knowledge in Web Services, WebAPI, Restful services, Micro-services
·  Working experience into one of the RDBMS database
·  Experience in Container technologies such as Docker.
Experience into OOAD, design patterns and SOA
·  Basic understanding of Front-end technologies like HTML5,
CSS, Bootstrap, JavaScript, JQuery, AJAX etc

·  Ability to work in small teams and independently with minimal direction 
·  Effective communication skills verbally along with technical writing and documentation experience 
·  Experience in Agile methods such as Scrum on a small development team 
·  Experience in working with global teams using agile practices 
·  Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment
