Role Summary/Purpose

Activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components. Position requires understanding of concepts, methods, procedures & strategies for design & development of Mechanical Components & sub assemblies. contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components.
Essential Responsibilities

1. Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
2. Designing new products and/or supporting Installed Base of mechanical components & subsystems using Mechanical Engineering principles.
3. Execute design to engineering standards
5. Work as a part of a team including cross functional team members & suppliers to deliver technical solutions
6. Work with customers and/or technical leaders to ensure that the technical deliverables are consistent with the goals of larger programs, projects or initiatives
7.Seek mentoring to learn and for problem solving
8. Lead development of new processes in the areas of Metal to Metal / Non metal joining, Cleaning Surface prep & coatings
9. Engaging in all phases of new product development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support
10. Identifying and developing new opportunities to leverage Strategic Sourcing objectives and Common Technology initiatives in the modality product line
11. Developing and maintaining X Ray Generation subsystem quality and engineering project funnel
12. Defining and executing component design verification
13. Developing innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability
Qualifications/Requirements

1. BS in Mechanical Engineering & Master's Degree in Mechanical Design / Tool Design / Manufacturing Engineering

We at ISS (Imaging Sub Systems) design, develop and manufacture Sub systems which are at the heart of any Diagnostic Imaging Device. The X Ray Generation team designs, develops and manufactures X Ray Generators & Tubes. These devices operate at the extreme limits of Temperature, G Loads, High Voltage and Vacuum levels known to man.
