Role Summary/Purpose

Proficient technology professional, and contributes to activities contributing to the design and development of products, solutions and systems. Includes activities linked to technical improvement of existing products and components. Positions requiring understanding of a concepts, methods and procedures.
Essential Responsibilities

1. Execute the design, analysis, or evaluation of assigned projects using sound engineering principles and adhering to business standards, practices, procedures, and product / program requirements.
2. This work would include mechanical engineering competencies & skills for all products.
3. Executes routine analyses using vested methods and technologies and/or contributes to technological developments in teams under supervision.
4. Works together with people from the business unit.
5. Contacts are under guidance and/or geared towards collecting or giving technical information.
6. Works within a team setting and / or under guidance.
7. Alternatively: executing routine but complex analysis.
8 .Designing new products and/or supporting Installed Base of mechanical components & subsystems using Mechanical Engineering principles.
9. Execute design to engineering standards
10. Work with patient/customers and/or technical leaders to ensure that the technical deliverables are consistent with the goals of larger programs, projects or initiatives
11. Seek mentoring to learn and for problem solving
12. Leading development of new processes in the areas of Metal to Metal / Non metal joining, Cleaning Surface prep & coatings
13. Engaging in all phases of new product development, including concept, architecture, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interfaces, manufacturing introduction and service support
14. Identifying and developing new opportunities to leverage Strategic Sourcing objectives and Common Technology initiatives in the modality product line
15. Developing and maintaining X Ray Generation subsystem quality and engineering project funnel
16. Defining and executing component design verification
17. Developing innovative designs to meet all requirements for performance, reliability, cost and manufacturability
18. Stay current and develop competence required for the job
Qualifications/Requirements

1. Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering & Master's Degree in Mechanical Design / Tool Design / Manufacturing Engineering

We at ISS (Imaging Sub Systems) design, develop and manufacture Sub systems which are at the heart of any Diagnostic Imaging Device. The X Ray Generation team designs, develops and manufactures X Ray Generators & Tubes. These devices operate at the extreme limits of Temperature, G Loads, High Voltage and Vacuum levels known to man. For an Engineer these devices offer exciting and challenging opportunities to use their technical acumen and knowledge and have an extremely exciting and fulfilling career.
