Role Summary/Purpose
Working within the new product introduction test equipment design team the test systems electrical/electronic design engineer provides design services to deliver test solutions used in the manufacture, engineering, systems testing, and qualification of aviation power products and components. This role touches all engineering disciplines with exposure to mechanical systems, electrical systems, electronic systems, products, and technologies.
Essential Responsibilities
· In your career at GE Aviation as an Electrical/Electronic Design Engineer you will have the opportunity to deliver power test solutions and engineering laboratory test facilities to some of the most exciting advanced civil and military aircraft programmes.
· You will use and develop your skills to:
· Perform detail design and commissioning in accordance with requirements
· Participate in design reviews
· Produce/verify design documentation
· Author manuals and test procedures
· Support the integration of test software with test hardware
· Integrate electrical/electronic hardware with units under test
Qualifications/Requirements
· Qualified to HNC level in an electronic/engineering discipline or equivalent knowledge and experience
· Experience in electrical/electronic hardware design, development, commissioning or integration
· Proficiency using the Microsoft Office suite of software
· Good oral and written communication skills

Desired Characteristics
· Experience working in Aviation or other high integrity environment
· Working knowledge of equipment wiring standards, CE regulations and other engineering industry standards or electrical panel and wiring design
· Knowledge of CAD packages e.g. AutoCAD
