Role Summary/Purpose

The Environmental Health and Safety department fosters a culture that promotes the safety and wellness of our employees; protects the environment; ensures compliance; delivers value to our business, customers and communities; enhances GE’s reputation and distinguishes us as a socially responsible company. 
For this role we are looking for a candidate to join our company as of November 2019 for 1 year.

Essential Responsibilities

This internship involves assisting the EHS Department in all aspects of the global environmental, health and safety management. This will include, but is not limited to the following:

·  Preparing for EHS Management system audits

·  Reviewing, updating and posting various EHS programs, policies and training materials

·  Managing projects as assigned by the EHS Leader, such as digitalization initiatives, risk assessment, cost reduction, ECO inventory, global waste mapping and various others

·  Perform routine data / trend analysis, research, and presentations related to EHS performance

·  Complete assigned EHS tasks and other administrative duties, including special internship projects and presentations

·  Assisting management in accident investigations to determine root causes and the implementation of corrective actions

Qualifications/Requirements

·  University degree in Environmental Health & Safety or equivalent knowledge / experience

·  English spoken and written at professional level

·  Valid Swiss or EU work permit
