Role Summary/Purpose

In this role you will be asked to support service military fleets, to support the production lines and lead design tasks on gas turbine engines.
Essential Responsibilities

In this role you will: 

·  Develops and maintains trusted relationships with all stakeholders through on-going dialogue and effective technical communication 
·  Provide all the required technical support to the production lines of the military in-service products
·  Collaborates with customers, and partners to find the best solutions to in service issues. 
·  Identify root causes and corrective actions for in-service issues through an established investigation process 
·  Designs modifications, selects key technologies, and optimizes the system design. 
·  Manages execution through program reviews, problem resolution, and risk abatement 
·  Executes the change management process. 
·  Provide instructions to in-service fleet to ensure airworthiness (e.g. service bulletins)
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Master Degree in Mechanical/Aeronautical Engineering from an accredited university 
·  Knowledge in mechanical system design 
·  knowledge of CAD and FEM tools 
·  Technical Accountability/Ownership 
·  Configuration Control and Management 
·  Good English and Italian language knowledge, both written and oral 
·  PC proficiency 
·  Good interpersonal and communication skills  
·  EU work permit
·

Desired Characteristics

·  Experience in mechanical design using CAD or FEM tools 
·  Experience in cost and value engineering 
·  Experience in reliability analysis 
·  Knowledge of aeronautical Certification rules, ie EASA Part 21, CS-E, FAR’s
