Role Summary/Purpose

The Cyber/HMI TA is responsible for the installation, commissioning, maintenance and troubleshooting for the cyber security and controls solution products for the control system retrofit market range of hardware and software products in the GE DS Control Solutions portfolio. Primarily customers will be within the Oil & Gas and Power Generation industries internationally and may be located both onshore and offshore
Essential Responsibilities

·  Install communications hardware; firewalls, routers, VLAN network communications, switches, HMIs, etc.

·  Configure Virtual Machine software and build instructions

·  Develop and sustain cyber asset protection applications, tools, and reports for customer applications

·  Implementation of SW communication such as Modbus, OPC, etc…

·  Deliver customer on-site and in-house training

·  Provide technical inputs to sales and commercial teams

·  Troubleshoot existing Control Solutions hardware and software installations on-site.

·  Attend pre-outages meetings with customers

·  Provide technical assistance to customers on site as needed

·  Supervise sub-contractor for cable networking laying

·  Support start-up and performance tests ensuring proper and safe operation of the machine by evaluating and troubleshooting control system problem as they arise

·  Maintain accurate timesheets and acquire customer's signature on timesheets before leaving the job site

·  Write accurate and detailed reports after completion of each job

·  Assess and monitor site safety during job execution

·  Communicate professionally with customer and other team members

·  Timely and accurately input hours, expenses, timesheets in internal systems
Qualifications/Requirements

·  College degree in Computer Science or Information Technology

·  Strong relevant work experience in IT and/or field services

·  The position requires solid knowledge and experience with Network Cyber Security Systems, software packages and communications

·  Knowledge of Switches configuration, Virtual Machine, Administrative Domain, networking.

·  Networking
and networking security & time windows servers administration expertise 
·  MCSA Certificate: Windows Server 2012, 2016; or relevant experience
·  Ability to understand and implement technical drawings (wiring diagram, P&ID, General Arrangement, etc…).

·  Ability to work under pressure

·  Willing to travel
·  Knowledge of machinery protection and management systems

·  Valid driver's license and passport (or able to obtain a passport).
·  Strong computer skills using MS Office software

Desired Characteristics

·  Some experience in cyber asset protection system application and design.

·  Demonstrated experience in the development and application of virtual machines in a Microsoft Windows operating environment

·  Demonstrated experience in the configuration management of firewalls, routers, and other network communication equipment

·  Experience with software development/programing using tools such as; VBA, Java, Python, etc.

·  Knowledge and understanding of network communication protocols including; Modbus, GSM, OPC (DA, AE, UA), DNP3, etc.

·  Knowledge of cyber asset protection regulations effecting the power section including; NERC CIP, NIST, NEI 08-09, ISA5100, and WIB

·  Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving ability and adept at communicating with several levels of the organization

·  Experience in interfacing with all levels of internal and external customers

·  Knowledge in the use of GE Control systems and applications

·  Demonstrated experience in the application and design of the following cyber asset protection applications; intrusion detection systems, role-based access control, security information and event monitoring (SIEM), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) security certificates / certificate authority server, antivirus management, network deployment of software updates/patches, back-up and recovery systems

·  Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Windows operating systems including; user account management, security/system hardening & device control, and patch management

·  Demonstrated experience with Microsoft PowerShell (or other) scripting and PC/Server administration

·  Demonstrated experience in the development and application of virtual machines in a Microsoft Windows operating environment

·  Demonstrated experience in the configuration management of firewalls, routers, and other network communication equipment

·  Experience with software development/programing using tools such as; VBA, Java, Python, etc.

·  Experience with either MKIV, MKV or MKVI Control Panel

·  Basic knowledge in rotating equipment control philosophy (Gas Turbine, Steam Turbine, Centrifugal Compressor, Reciprocate Compressor) and their auxiliaries

·  Green Belt Certified (GE Employees only)

·  Excellent interpersonal skills
