Role Summary/Purpose

The Connection Design Engineer shall work with development of Connection systems. He/she should have system focus and ensure that all interfaces and phases are considered when the system is designed. The Connection design engineer will be accountable for part of the design work for programs/projects, tenders and FEED work as required. He/she will present/participate in design reviews and document/drawing review as well as work as model/drawing/document creator.
Essential Responsibilities

·  Work with development activities such as CAD modelling and creating documents

·  Perform system design work within own disciplines and ensure that the design of complete system is optimal.

·  Work cross functionally with other teams and departments to align interfaces, system design, activities and deliverables.

·  Participate/Lead/Present in design reviews when and as relevant.

·  Co-ordinate scope of work in multiple teams and locations.

Part of the work might be as package responsible to co-ordinate part of the delivery in the applicable project.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  BSc or MSc in Mechanical or Marine engineering.

·  Subsea engineering experience.

·  Experience in design of Connection System areas such as PCE, Structures, tooling or preferably several of them.

·  Strong in use of design tools such as Creo/iPEM/TeamCenter.

·  Familiar with Creo/iPEM/TeamCenter .

·  PC proficiency.

·  Detail oriented.

·  Proven capability to see the larger picture of both the design process and the connection system.

·  Proven capability to deliver on time and budget.

·  Proven capability to plan own work and take ownership to plan.

·  Structured and proven to deliver good documentation and overviews.

·  English fluent verbal and written

·  Strong oral and written communication skills
