Role Summary/Purpose

The AIS (Advanced Inspection Services) Engineer is responsible for the on-site inspection at the customer’s premise. The goal of the Engineer is to conduct inspection at customer’s site on advanced applications and support our customers with technical advisory on their fleet asset’s reliability. This position will also be responsible for all the RVI (Remote Visual Inspection) rentals opportunities in Italy.
Essential Responsibilities

This role includes delivery of services on time, safely, and with the highest quality possible. Where qualified, the position supports training, technique development, and delivery of specialized services utilizing GE Inspection Technologies state of art solutions. Inspections will be performed in multiple industries including aerospace, petrochemical, refineries, power plants, and pipelines around in Italy but potentially also in other countries in Europe.

This position will be the key in driving quality level II inspections as well as developing level I expertise within the team. In this role, you will represent our business as an experienced and fully qualified Engineer on industrial endoscopy matters.

Detailed responsibilities include and are not limited to:

·  Performing inspection at customer sites during outages, working operations and other scenarios and provide technical report of findings based on images and videos captured during the execution of the job

·  Visit large fleet customers to perform technical evaluation of their GE and other branded equipment’s. Thereafter, provide detailed report of operating conditions and recommendations of actions required to assure maximum availability and optimum performance of customers pool of equipment.

·  Actively seek and support rental opportunities with quoting, delivery, return and follow up of systems performance and repair if required.

·  Quote and follow up for orders of inspection services in the region exploring opportunities to grow the business consistently with higher market penetration.

·  Keep GE assets organized, ready to use and execute required actions to ensure proper order of operation of the systems.
Qualifications/Requirements

·  Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent knowledge and experience

·  Level II Certification in NDT or a NDT Diploma / Master and specifically in VT & UT or equivalent knowledge or work experience

·  Experience in NDT equipment

·  Experience in a field service role

·  Ability and willingness to travel to Europe & Internationally, as required

·  Familiar with EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) requirements to work on site

·  Provide technical leadership to personnel supporting the assigned project

·  Understand and interpret codes, standards and specifications related to NDT inspections in given industrial environment

·  Review incoming reports and oversee data quality to ensure that they meet all procedural and code requirements

·  Become highly cross-trained across multiple product platforms & technologies, while maintaining depth in a core subject

·  Provide "Quality Control" in the field; ensure high procedural compliance & performance in front of customers

·  EU Work Permit
Desired Characteristics

·  Level II EN ISO9712 certifications in ET, PT, MT (would be helpful)

·  Phased Array UT knowledge

·  Hold or can obtain a required certification to work offshore

·  Knowledge of NDT service technology and its applications across various industries, example, the O&G, Power, Wind and Process Industries

·  Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; experience approaching / evaluating a problem from many angles

·  Competent with computer networking and wireless

·  Competent with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Outlook

·  Experience reading prints

·  Excellent client service, interpersonal and communication skills

·  Actively seeks out and implements new solutions

·  Ability to manage effectively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment

·  Spoken and written command of the English language

·  Customer service mindset

·  Strong leadership skills
