Role Summary/Purpose
This role is desired to provide technical response and assistance in a timely manner to the customers in the operation, inspection, maintenance, and repair of product lines.
Essential Responsibilities
- Respond to phone calls and emails from customers and GE Field Service Engineers (FSE) to resolve field issues.
- Assist customers with Aircraft on Ground (AOG) spare part support
- Support new engine Entry into Service (EIS) activities.
- Serve as the 2nd level support function in the global technical support team.
- Cooperate with the 1st level of the support function to develop action plans with guidance to respond to issues/problems.
- Analyze the failure and availability statistics of the installed fleet.
- Provide diagnostics reviews with the customers on the regular basis.
- Perform diagnostics analysis and provide technical recommendations in a timely manner.
- Assist in data analytics to develop new detection models and optimize diagnostics settings.
- Participate and present in technical and program reviews.
- Collaborate with management in setting realistic and challenge goals.
Qualifications/Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college with at least 3 years of experience in aviation industry.
- Must be fluent in Chinese and English.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Excel and Power point.
- Must be highly motivated, self-directed individual with a strong work ethic and proven abilities to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proven ability to establish productive working relationships in a cross-functional team environment.
- Proven written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective problem identification and solution skills.
- Ability to lead initiatives of moderate scope and impact.
- Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
Desired Characteristics
- Additional experience in an electrical or mechanical industrial apprenticeship is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred.
- Ability to analyze technical processes.
- Six Sigma Green Belt certification is preferred.
- Ability to make quick decisions in order to adapt to any situation.
- Quality awareness and ability to identify future failures, defects, and problems.
