Your position and environment?
Our Faurecia Clean Mobility Business Group – NAO Division is looking for you as a VIE Manufacturing Engineer m/f for our Gladstone plant in Columbus, IN
- USA.
Your role and responsibilities?
Your main missions will be to
Planning of all development aspects of customer and facility related projects
Responsible for project integrity and success against identified agreed goals
Facilitate and support the production teams in continuous improvement activities
Develop and implement projects targeted on cost reductions, safety, ergonomics, change
- over, standardization, productivity, and product quality improvements
Facilitate new product launch and engineering change activities including product quotations, equipment and tool purchasing, line manning and balancing, writing of capital appropriations requests, and the development of quality and production documentation (process flows, FMEA’s, work instructions, line layouts, BOS charts, budgetary tracking)
Coach Process Technicians, GAP Leaders and Manufacturing Associates on process trouble shooting, set-up of equipment, validating correct process control, using proper gauging processes and procedures, and other equipment/process related technical skills needed to safely produce good parts
Support QRCI process to take an active role in the identification of root-cause problems
Lead the implementation of short term containment actions and long term permanent corrective actions
Lead Hoshins and related employee empowerment initiatives to drive continual process improvement with the maximum involvement and support of Shop Floor Management and Direct Labor Associates
Support and help other team member’s research, implement and generate Improvement Ideas
The mission will last 12 months.
Who are you?
Master’s degree diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Technology
Fluent in English
Experience in Welding and/or robot/Laser programming experience are a plus
