Job Description:

This role is for an experienced Usability Analyst  with good knowledge to analyze, package, and publish survey results in partnership with internal customer feedback team and the associated services. The individual will be providing support for areas involving analyses solution, delivery and client requirements.  The role is part of a global Desktop Engineering team in a large, complex and multinational environment.


Essential Functions of the Job: 

 
· 
Assist to analyze, package, and publish survey results in partnership with internal customer feedback team.

· 
Collect testing needs from internal clients, and determine priorities that are consistent with business and customer goals and objectives.

· 
Perform interviews to gather feedback on products and services and provide analysis and insight from the results

· 
Plan, schedule, moderate and scribe remote and in-person one-on-one usability sessions to obtain user preferences and feedback.

· 
Guide creation of working prototypes for usability and proof-of-concept testing to support feedback efforts

· 
Track and report on product performance issues and resolutions closing the loop with product teams

· 
Provide expert heuristic reviews

 

Analytical/Decision Making Responsibilities:

·  Proactively anticipates service issues before they occur and able to make recommendations around resolution.
·  Taking part in projects as a subject matter expert or as a representative of the service owner.
· 
Sound analytical and problem solving skills are required to manage multiple technical challenges from multiple services and projects simultaneously

· 
Evaluate recommendations provided for service improvements, with the ability to identify any gaps or alternate solutions.

· 
Proactively anticipate service issues before they occur and be able to drive suggested changes to execution.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

Essential:

 

 

· 
At least 2 years experience in user experience field, performing usability and research activities

· 
Strong knowledge in usability and user-centered design methods such as usability testing, heuristic evaluation, paper prototyping, and card sorting

· 
Strong knowledge of design aesthetics and specifications

· 
Strong verbal communication skills:  interviewing, questioning, presenting.

· 
Comfortable interviewing and observing people in many different situations and backgrounds while also putting them at ease.

· 
Strong written communication skills writing plans and testing results and trends

· 
Proven ability to synthesize lots of information and distill it into meaningful data; Strong analytical and visualization skills to assess and present trends and patterns.

· 
Must be willing and able to work outside a traditional 8am to 5pm based on testing needs.

· 
Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to quickly juggle multiple projects varying in size and complexity, prioritizing time and tasks as needed to meet aggressive deadlines

· 
Online portfolio with the previous work samples

· 
Bachelors in Human Factors, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Usability Engineering related field preferred

Supervision Responsibilities:

   

No Direct supervision responsibilities for this role, but needs to have the ability to set up a network of technical and non technical contacts across various teams to help provide appropriate support for existing services, as well as helping to drive delivery of solutions and/or resolution of various problems.

 

Other Requirements:

The role may require out of office hours work.

· 
Intercontinental travel may be required

·  Candidate must be flexible to the demands of the services we provide and any project to which they are assigned.

 

 

Education: 

 

A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or equivalent work experience required

 

 

 
Experience:

 

2 years experience in user experience field, performing usability and research activities
