Handling tax for a large, sophisticated organization takes more than just a technical understanding of current tax practices. As an International Tax Services Manager in Global Withholding, we’ll look to your knowledge across a wide range of tax areas and processes, devising effective outcomes to some of the most complex challenges around. The opportunity

Our withholding tax team serves to give clients the perspective and support they need to effectively manage withholding tax rules and requirements. Our approach combines deep knowledge of both procedural and substantive withholding tax rules, an understanding of best practices in withholding tax processes and controls, and experience with automating withholding tax functionality in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems. Additionally, we leverage our global network (100+ countries) of withholding tax resources to uncover opportunities and manage global tax risks for our clients. This diversity of backgrounds allows us to look at situations from multiple perspectives, helping clients efficiently reach their objectives.
 
Your key responsibilities

Depending on your unique skills and ambitions, you could be managing various responsibilities, from technical planning and advising to global project management. Whatever you find yourself doing, you’ll personally coach and develop a highly trained team, all while handling activities with a focus on quality and commercial value. This is a highly regulated industry, so it’s all about maintaining our reputation as trusted advisors by taking on bold initiatives and owning new challenges.

Skills and attributes for success
·  Researching and analyzing global withholding tax rules and issues, including FATCA, CRS and IGAs. Research and analyze bilateral and multilateral international treaties. 
·  Identifying and answering complex domestic and international tax issues, reviewing work completed by team and foreign country offices to consistently deliver quality work results
·  Providing technical tax advice and planning services to a portfolio of projects
·  Building long-lasting relationships with our clients, developing your understanding of their unique needs and requirements and assist with business development opportunities.
·  Constantly developing your own knowledge, maintaining your status as a trusted advisor by monitoring emerging trends, technologies withholding tax developments and rule/law changes
To qualify for the role you must have
·  A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (such as Accounting, Business, Finance, or a related field ) and/or a Juris Doctorate in Law
·  Experience with ERP applications or other sector-specific IT applications preferably related to tax functionality
·  5 or more years of experience with International Tax
·  A US state CPA license (or similar non-US license that can be transferred)or state bar membership
·  The ability to communicate complex tax and industry concepts to clients through exceptional writing and speaking skills
·  Confidence in your ability to organize and prioritize when working on multiple complex projects
·  The ability to collaboratively work with others as part of a high-performing team
·  Approximately 5 years of work experience in professional services or professional tax organization and 2-3 years of related work experience
·  Ability to work in fast paced professional services environment
·  Ability to travel as needed within and outside the US.
Ideally, you’ll also have
·  A Master's degree in Taxation (an MST or LLM)
·  Second language skills
