The opportunity


GDS Procurement Services is a service offering that is being setup in collaboration with EY’s Global Procurement organization which is seeking to utilize the location footprint and skills/capabilities available from our Global Delivery Services (GDS).

The GDS provides enabling services to EY member firms, Service Lines, business support functions and Area/Global entities. These services are provided via the Client Service - Assurance, Advisory, Knowledge, Tax and TAS, and Enablement Services – Procurement Services, IT Services, Finance & Accounting Services, Risk Management Services, People Shared Services, Markets Enablement Services, Brand, Marketing and communications. 

Procurement was established as a globalized function just over ten years ago. Its purpose it to drive efficiencies in the way EY member firms select and manage their vendor relationships. This is achieved through a number of channels including creating procurement processes which are repeatable, can be leveraged, are transparent as well as are aligned to business strategies and goals.

Your key responsibilities

The role of the Supervising Associate – BMC Procurement will be to individually manage the procurement of Brand Marketing & Communication services. The key sub categories within BMC are Media, Digital, Creative, PR, Sponsorship, Event Production and Market Research. The role will work closely with BMC Procurement leaders and stakeholders supporting the CESA region. The region is formed of 17 countries with an annual Marketing spend of $10m mostly from Poland, Russia, Czech Republic, Romania, Slovakia, Greece and Turkey amongst others.

The role holder will be expected to form lasting relationships with leaders and other key stakeholders/ clients to drive the development of the procurement organization.

 

Skills and attributes for success

·  Key parameter for success for this role will be the Turn around time, Cost Savings and successful closure of projects
·  Understanding the business need of stakeholders and liaising with local legal teams to draft contracts
·  This role will require the candidate to work in flexible timings predominantly covering the CESA region and supporting the wider EMEIA team when necessary
·  Strict adherence to the procurement policy set by the CPO
·  Follow procurement strategies being implemented by procurement leaders
·  Ensure cost savings targets are met and ensure quality of service is not compromised
·  Maintain vendor relationships at global standards
·  Ensure follow-ups are made to have approvals on time
·  Maintain highest levels of integrity across the procurement process
·  Manage the overall quality of service across all processes within a multiple country environment
·  Ensure adherence to service level agreements and deliver high quality, cost effective and efficient support
·  Engage and create meaningful and productive business relationships with clients and stakeholders
·  Supporting with the daily administration for the BMC Procurement team.
·  To work in a busy and fast paced environment
·  Excellent attention to detail is essential
·  Daily use of MS excel and outlook
·  Keeping supplier contract details up to date in CLM tool
·  Ensure full compliance of documents for new/existing suppliers 

This role will suit a strong administrator with excellent data entry and analytical skills. They will be involved with spend analysis and ensuring data is accurate and report generation along with creating PowerPoint presentations across the BMC category. Also, daily management of the CLM Tool to organize team projects, supplier contracts and reporting.
