Operations Assistant – Global Tax Desk

Ernst & Young LLP’s Global Tax Desk Network is staffed by tax professionals from approximately 15 global jurisdictions (i.e., Asia, EMEIA and the Americas), providing real time tax advice to our global clients. The Global Tax Desk teams work together with our local country tax professionals to provide in-depth tax advice on the laws in their home jurisdictions and tax-effective structuring of multi-country transactions. Our Global Tax Desk Network in EMEIA provides comprehensive tax advice to clients who are engaged in international transactions or expanding across borders.

 

Our EMEIA Global Tax Desk team has over 60 professionals from 13 countries including a large representation from the United States and representation from Africa, Brazil, China, Colombia, Argentina, Chile, India, Mexico, the Netherlands, Australia, Poland, Korea and the Nordics. We have Tax Desk teams in London, Munich, Zurich and Madrid so we are a truly international business London is our largest Desk team

 
The opportunity
 

Within the Global Tax Desk we are currenting seeking an Operations Assistant to support with a range of projects and duties. This is an excellent opportunity to kick start your career and gain exposure to a range of internal clients within EY Tax. You will work as part of a fast-moving, highly professional EMEIA team and where you will liaise directly across all EY level, up to Partner.

 

You will have the opportunity to work in an autonomous environment, helping to coordinate events, supporting our marketing drives, updating some of our key Financial reports and you will even gain experience within some aspects of HR , Learning, Legal and Risk Management

Your key responsibilities

· 
Financial Reporting : on a Monthly, quarterly, half-yearly and ad-hoc basis

· 
Manage the updating process of a number of key Desk reporting templates, being accountable for coordinating responses and chasing responses

· 
Event Organization : provide organization support for our annual LatAM Client Event and Africa Client Event in London and other ad-hoc projects, including logistical planning and room booking

· 
Marketing : design and manage production of our Desk marketing material as well as manage our SP site and any relevant Social Media campaigns

· 
HR ; support onboarding of new joiners and be responsible for updating our team HR Charts

· 
Learning : help coordinate internal team learning events including room bookings and logistics

· 
Legal : support the team in keeping them updated with up-to-the-minute Quality Risk Management ( QRM) rules and regulations relating to the smooth running of the Tax Desk

· 
Social Committee : be an active member of the committee to decide what team networking events we run on a monthly basis
