Job description

An opportunity to get great insights into the exciting and dynamic world of M&A transactions with an operations focus, joining a growing team that is ambitious and focused on collaboration and having fun together.

The opportunity
Every year, EY gives newly graduated candidates a unique opportunity to start a career in professional advisory related to mergers and acquisitions. We are already seeking candidates who can start in August 2021 at the latest or potentially even earlier on an either full-time or part-time contract. This will be negotiated on an individual basis.

You will have the opportunity to become a part of a dedicated and growing team, which supports national and international clients (across both corporate and private equity firms) on both the buy and sell side in their preparation, execution and implementation of transactions.

As a new joiner you will take part in an onboarding period, where you will be introduced to our overall work-methods. Furthermore, you will after a short time of employment join a Nordic introductory course. The course is for all new Consultants in the Nordic countries and will therefore provide you with an opportunity to quickly develop a network in the Nordics. We wish to help you succeed in reaching your full potential and thus provide you with a counsellor, who in collaboration with you will focus on your personal development, and a buddy, who will make sure that you get a great start at Transaction, Strategy and Execution Operations.

Your key responsibilities
When you join our team, you will get hands on experience from day one. Your work assignments will center around supporting your team within a multitude of different project specific tasks as well as coordination and documentation of deliverables. You should expect and look forward to spending a good proportion of your time interacting with clients at the client site.

Our team prepares the operational due diligence in relation to “Sell and separate” or “Buy and integrate” transactions including closing and implementation. We ensure that our clients get the best insight into the operational foundation of the respective target. We do this by assessing the feasibility of connecting strategy with operations to maximize value on behalf of the client, including operational capabilities, risks and opportunities accelerating benefit realization. We expect you to contribute to this work together with a dedicated more experienced mentor.

You will find that you will be given increasing amounts of responsibility rather quickly and be supported in developing your skills and capabilities to grow with your team.
