The Opportunity

Subsequently, you can expect to quickly become a trusted and reliable advisor to the firm as you work with colleagues across the MENA region’s business.

As an in-house legal specialist in charge of employment and data privacy matters at EY, you will be responsible for providing day to day legal support for HR business partners and specialists, including with employment/secondment agreements, absence/leave matters and change programmes.

Skills and attributes for success

You should be a licensed and proactive employment law specialist with around 7 years of post-qualification experience in employment laws and regulations within a law firm or in-house function in the MENA region, ideally that of GCC countries (preferably the UAE and Saudi Arabia).

To qualify, you must have
·  Have at least 5 years of post-qualification experience
·  Employment law experience gained in either a reputable firm (or equivalent) and/or in-house function
·  Commercial awareness of the business issues facing the organisation and the ability to deal with problems in a practical and intuitive way
·  Proven ability to establish a high degree of credibility, respect and trust at all levels, including with senior members of the firm, some of whom have a considerable understanding of the law
