Editorial Expert (Advanced Analyst)

Job description

We are looking for an editorial talent and expert for English language. Acting as a proofreader, you will perform quality checks on reports and go to market material, with a focus on grammar, spelling, consistency, application of US or UK style as well as the compliance with writing standards as per the EY brand guideline. Besides, you make suggestions on rephrasing and better structure of content. Writing texts for different occasions can also be part of your responsibilities.

Functions and responsibilities

·      Proofreading to detect and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and syntax (main responsibility)

·       Prepare, rewrite and edit text to improve readability

·      Verify facts, dates, and statistics

·       Text sanitization / anonymization​

·      Text creation and modification (e.g. newsletter articles, promotional content, summaries, user manuals)

·       Meeting deadlines and client requirements

·      Cooperating and liaise with designers

 

Experience

·  Approximately 3 years of related editorial experience

 

Skills and attributes

·       Excellent writing skills (English)

·      Excellent communication in English, combined with interpersonal and teamwork skills

·       Good skills in PowerPoint and Word

·      Ability to adapt different styles (professional reports, engaging promotional material…) and to relate work to specific instructions

·       Relentless focus on the customer service and attention for detail

·      Self-motivation

·       Good at concentrating for long spells

·      Excellent work ethic and the ability to perform in a deadline-driven environment

·       Ability to plan, prioritize and organize work efficiently and effectively

·      Interested in the tax business
A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant subject is a plus
