The Role: Utility Rates Analyst Intern


Purpose
The Utility Rates Analyst Intern will be responsible for ensuring the utility tariffs are up to date in the GridSynergy Prospector product and assist in the QA automation and testing of the Prospector

Hourly – Non-exempt

Essential Job Functions
·  Learn the utility tariffs used by all of the utilities in markets Engie Storage is currently engaged in or interested in
·  Build processes and methodologies to keep the tariff database up to date
·  Build tools and automation frameworks to automate as much as possible of the process of keeping the tariff database up to date
·  Develop processes and methodologies to validate tariff engine used in the GridSynergy Prospector product
·  Develop processes and methodologies to validate financial analysis engine used in the GridSynergy Prospector product
·  Automate the validation of the tariff and financial engine of the GridSynergy Prospector product
·  Build experience with unit tests, UI/integration tests, API/functional level automation testing
·  Troubleshooting and problem solving
·  Collaborate with project managers, requirements owners, and developers from ENGIE Storage
·  Create and execute test plans for functional testing
·  Develop and execute roadmap to maintain quality across supported services
·  Carries out other duties as assigned

Requirements

·  Solid understanding of computer science fundamentals
·  Experience with of Java and/or Python required
·  Experience designing and implementing REST API’s
·  Understanding of agile development methodologies
·  Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
·  Familiarity with Software Change, Configuration Management and Build Processes in a complex environment
·  Smart, motivated, can do attitude and seeks to make a different 

Essential Physical Abilities

·  Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
·  Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally.
·  Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.
·  Ability to use personal computer, calculator, etc.
·  Could involve some lifting.

 

 

Education/Experience

·  Recent completion of Masters degree in Computer Science or related discipline
