ENGIE are recruiting for a Project Accountant to be based in Leeds (LS12 1BE). This is a 12 month fixed-term contract which involves working full-time hours. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.
Purpose of the Job
To lead a data process improvement project focusing on the accounts receivable activity of two legal entities.
Key Accountabilities
Prepare analytical reports on key customer accounts
Partner the business in resolving historic account discrepancies through effective dialogue and data sharing with key customers
Drive process improvement through identification of root causes
Liaise with external auditors and internal management teams to report on project progress
Support the implementation of process and system improvements which support the aims of the project
Support improved Management Information and Data Ownership/Integrity. Continually deliver improved processes and improve the quality of management reporting.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Experience
Essential
Degree qualification or equivalent
Part qualified accountant
Highly numerate with strong problem solving skills
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to produce accurate work under tight deadlines
Ability to report complex financial performance to a wide ranging audience
Practical experience of accounting, financial accounts or experience in other departments with similar finance disciplines
Microsoft Office proficient in particular Excel including the ability to handle the large volumes of data
Desirable
Fully qualified accountant
Ability to document processes, identify relevant controls and performance indicators
Ability to identify and deliver process improvements
Good knowledge of the electricity and gas industries
