ENGIE are recruiting for a Mechanical Engineer to be based in St James Hospital, Leeds, LS9 7TF. This is a permanent full-time role working 42 hours per week. Working Hours Monday to Friday 08:00 - 17:00

You will provide a customer facing responsive maintenance services to the Leeds Oncology Wing within St James Hospital. Carrying out maintenance, repairs, testing and inspection of building, mechanical and electrical services on a wide range of the building services which will include Steam and Condense Systems, Heating and Domestic Water Services, Building Drainage Systems, Air Conditioning and Associated systems.

Main Duties / Responsibilities:

· 
Have an awareness of the operational procedures and safe working practices of major items of plant and systems as described above

· 
Maintain records and complete service reports as appropriate.

· 
Carry out installation work involved in minor upgrading and adaptation works.

· 
Assist other skilled trades in carrying out maintenance, repairs, testing, inspection and installation work to increase the lifecycle of mechanical items.

· 
Undertake training to maintain and develop skills in line with the requirements of the service.

· 
Act as Competent or Authorised Person as directed and appointed.

· 
Undertake overtime/work unsocial able hours as required to maintain the service

What are we looking for?

·  Time served in a recognised engineering apprenticeship
·  Currently be or be prepared to undertake AP status.
·  Healthcare experience is desirable
·  Cross-trade experience is desirable
