ENGIE are recruiting for a Gas Heating Service & Repair Engineer to be based in Watford. This is a permanent full-time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary  and benefits package.

General Overview:

The role of the Gas Heating and service Engineer is to , carry out both gas, plumbing and wet plumbing tasks on Domestic Heating Systems within residential dwellings and communal areas where required, also inspect gas distribution, Heating and water pipework serving the dwellings.  

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

· 
Service and maintain resident’s gas installation and appliances as per Manufacturer’s Instructions and be compliant / up to date with legislation and regulations, by completing a full inspection of all components installed at each residential or void dwelling.

· 
Ensure Controls and heating systems are left working efficiently and correctly in a manner to reduce future breakdowns and failures of the heating systems in its entirety.  Where this is not possible to report back the findings from the dwelling and ensure that the follow-on works are scheduled to be fitted within a reasonable time frame agreed with your line manager and the resident.

Obsolete Parts are to be identified and reported to your Line Manager and a full survey undertaken guidance of the Line Manager and Photographic updates to be loaded to the PDA to ensure that the resident’s time without a heat or hot water provision are minimised.  Temporary Heaters must be left as per the contractual requirements.

· 
Where the PDA is not operable Revert to the use of paper documentation and ensure that it is compliant to the Engie and Gas Safe standards

· 
Assist with the adherence to the Company quality standards including:

· 
Compliance with specification to current standards

· 
Compliance with materials / workmanship schedules

· 
Risk and Method Statements completed for each dwellings and task attended

· 
Full completion of all gas certification and Bench Marking

· 
To be responsible for and take due care of the company van in accordance with the company car policy

· 
To be responsible for holding keys for communal entrances, meter cupboards and allow access where appropriate

· 
Material co-ordination

· 
Ensure accurate / timely completion of any relevant site-based documentation

· 
Assist tradesmen as directed in carrying out their day to day duties

· 
Advise Line Manager/s or SHEQ Advisor of any Health & Safety infringements they might see and record all near misses and accidents through the company policy and procedures

· 
Ensuring that the site is always kept clean and tidy following the correct procedures for each task

· 
Load and unload deliveries as required to carry out tasks using correct method statements for lifting equipment 

· 
Undertake all work to a high standard with minimal risk to Health and Safety

· 
To work with others and provide a courteous and considerate service to members of the public

· 
Ensure company appearance in maintained to High Standards (Uniform, Vehicles and Working Areas)

· 
Work on an Out of Hours Rota and or shift pattern Monday to Sunday, including Bank Holidays

· 
Participate when required to assist Gas Engineers with operational requirements

Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience:

Essential:

·  Minimum 5 years, time served Gas Service & Repair Engineer relevant to the position
·  CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, 
·  Good understanding of Boiler Fault finding 
·  Professional Attitude and approach to work, Polite and courteous
·  Current and Valid Full & Clean UK driving Licence 

Desirable:

·  CMDDA1 (Carbon Monoxide Testing Training Course)
·  Domestic Electrical Installer Part P 
·  HWSS (Hot Water Systems & Safety)
·  Unvented Hot Water Systems 
·  Warm Air Units
·  MET1
