ENGIE are recruiting for a Assistant Business Development Manager  to be based in Nottingham NG8 6PX. This is a permanent full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary and benefits package.

General Overview:

The main purpose of the Assistant Business Development Manage is to create, develop and maintain new and existing business relationships with new and existing clients, you will co-ordinate all Business Development activities in the East Midlands and create new opportunities for the Company. 

Main Responsibilities/Duties Include:

· 
Contribute towards the development and implementation of the regional Business Development strategy. 

· 
Establish, manage and maintain professional relationships with current clients and all targeted customers.

· 
Develop an understanding of individual customer requirements utilising the principles of the company’s ‘Connecting Customers’ strategy.

· 
From an understanding of customer requirements, identify solutions and opportunities to enable those requirements to be met and by so doing create new opportunities for the Company.

· 
Effectively network, collecting, recording and sharing market intelligence.

· 
Record discussions, intelligence gleaned, actions and opportunities identified during meetings via the Company’s CRM and opportunity management IT software.

· 
Contribute towards the production of quality bids and award submissions by the Bid Team.

· 
Encourage a collaborative, team approach to winning work.

· 
Offer assistance and support to other team members.

· 
Identify and monitor Registered Social Housing Providers and Local Authority general spend patterns, regionally.

· 
Keep abreast of current government legislation in housing, education and public buildings.

· 
Prepare business development and pipeline reports as and when requested. Record and report on the progress of the opportunity pipeline, from opportunity identification to full security.

· 
Co-ordinate the preparation and delivery of client and staff presentations.

· 
Contribute towards ensuring that the library of bid submissions, marketing collateral, imagery, CVs and case studies is kept up-to-date and current.

· 
Assist to ensure company profile and bid information is up-to-date.

· 
To be responsible for your own safety and others around you.

· 
Manage key client list, ensure information is current.

· 
Maintain database of all current frameworks, and expiry dates.

· 
Drive a pipeline of opportunities, from initial identification to full security, in line with the agreed targets and growth plan

· 
Gain an understanding of the construction process from opportunity identification and tendering, through to contract negotiations, works procurement, execution of the works and finally handing over and aftercare.

Required Qualifications, Skills or Experience:

·  degree level qualification or similar, such as a BSc, or BA in a construction, engineering, or business management related subject.
·  UK compliant full driving license.
