POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a Software Engineer that will join our Induction Technology team in Forli, Italy and who will get to shape the future of induction cooking. You might have heard of it from other sources as well, however what you need to know from us is that what makes us stand apart is building products both cost efficient and reliable.

Our lab in Forli, Italy is part of a network of labs spread across the world - the other 2 ones are in the US and China and you will also be in close connection with our colleagues in Germany. Hence on a daily basis you will be interacting with your colleagues from abroad and not only you will extensively use your English knowledge, but you will also get to learn about new cultures, see different points of view and you will get to experience how it is to be part of a really global organization. From time to time you will also travel to the other locations, so that you get to also know the people from over there and exchange knowledge and experiences.

Forli is an enchanting city in the Province of Forlì-Cesena in Italy, which is 30 minutes-drive to Bologna and about 20 minutes-drive to the Adriatic Sea.

As Software Engineer you will be responsible for the software design and the software maintenance of the electronic platform of the relevant subsystem.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ability to write SW specification starting from functional specification of related subsystem,            
• Create reliable software solutions in compliance with internal SW development guidelines           
• Writing SW in C language for embedded platforms (16-32 bit microcontrollers)           
• Ensure SW design in compliance with internal and external Safety (IEC 60730 ) and EMC standards           
• Prepare software specifications based on functional specifications of related subsystems           
• Prepare documentation of software designs and test reports of performed functional tests of subsystems and applications           
• Use of SW repository tools, to share and reuse code,            
• Definition and execution of SW test plan,            
• Observe the embedded design market, new technologies and tools for SW development           

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
• Precision in project targets achievement (time, cost, quality)           
• DM efficiency           
• SCR improvements

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
• Bachelor or Master Degree in Electronic Engineering or similar software design related education         

Technical Skills:             
• Processes – ECR/ECN , SW creation Process 
• C - programming language for embedded software
• electronic lab instruments
• soldering of electronic components on PCB
• preferably experience in power electronics 
• preferably experience is safety relevant software

Soft Competencies:             
• Team spirit and communication skills, share information with group

Other Competencies:             
• Cooking products knowledge
