Knowledge and Skills Required:

·  Required University Technical degree, BS in Information Technology or a related discipline or Equivalent job experience
·  In depth Subject Matter Expert with knowledge of Wintel and Virtualization architectures and engineering.
·  Must be Certified VMWare ESXi 6 or above
·  Minimum 8+ years' experience in VMware virtualization technology
·  Must have 8+ years of experience with Microsoft Server versions 2008 and above
·  Must have 8+ years of server hardware experience with Dell/HPE, rackmount servers, server chassis)
·  Must have a strong understanding of Windows and Vmware Server migration processes
·  Must have a strong understanding of Storage/SAN technologies
·  Must have strong understanding of Networking/LAN technology
·  Cloud technology experience is a plus

·  Has sufficient depth and breadth of technical knowledge to design and scope multiple deliverables across Windows Server Operating Systems and virtualization technologies.
·  Provides platform specific design and implementation services either as standalone engagements or integrated with other projects. 
·  Responsible for providing technical designs and documents for area of responsibility and capability
·  Configures and implements designs into client production environments. Possesses an understanding, at a detailed level, of architectural dependencies of technologies in use in the customer’s Information Technology (IT) environment. Frequently uses product and application knowledge along with internal or architectural knowledge to develop solutions.
·  Able to communicate with internal and external senior management confidently and demonstrate the professionalism of the job family.
·  Ability to work in a multi technology environment with the ability to diagnose complex technical problems to their root cause. In addition to troubleshooting skills and consulting skills, has ability to summarize and clearly communicate prognosis and impact in front of clients.
·  Demonstrates broad knowledge in other technical areas in order to properly manage complex integration efforts. Demonstrates application of technical expertise in successful engagements involving multiple disciplines.
·  Able to independently complete solution implementation or application design deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

·  Develop implementation plans to support changes to the VMware environment, including but not limited to
·  Storage add/change/remove (ESX host, guest and physical systems, includes addition on external storage devices)
·  Network add/change/remove (ESX host, guest and physical systems)
·  VM add/change/remove

·  Provide capacity management of VMware farms: collect data, report on and review resources
·  Work closely with the server teams to migrate servers into the proper VMware ESX farms
·  Maintain documentation for ESX farms, system configurations, build standards and processes/procedures related to engineering in the customer environment
·  Engage with and reach out to other technical teams (storage, server, bur, network, etc) to get/share information as needed
·  Participate in related aspects of service management (as necessary), change management, and problem management
·  Responsible for verifying and implementing the detailed technical design solution to the problem as identified by the Project/Technical Manager.  Often responsible for providing a detailed technical design for enterprise solutions. Is the Lead Engineer who analyzes and develops enterprise technology solutions
·  Coordinates implementation of new installations, designs, and migrations for technology solutions in the client’s VMware environment.
·  Collects and determines data from appropriate sources to assist in determining customer needs and requirements. Responds to requests for technical information from customers. Develops customer technology solutions using various industry products and technologies.
·  Engages in technical problem solving across the VMware technologies
·  Must be able to work US based client time zones for AMS/Americas accounts, primarily working 7am to 5pm Eastern or Central Time Zone. Must be willing to work overtime (off-hours and weekends) when needed to meet project schedules.
