Job Description:
The Data Analyst will analyze and report on Medicaid claims, related financial, Provider, and Member data, for support of Wisconsin Medicaid operations activities. The analyst will respond to customer requests for data analysis support.

The Data Analyst will work with very large data sets and lead specific projects from concept to completion, by contributing to report generation, visualization, and deliver insights to the client. This individual will interpret and analyze healthcare data from various sources for a given business goal. The Data Analyst will perform in client-facing role and work as a collaborative team player

Responsibilities:

·  Works with the internal DXC data Warehousing team to source the required data.
·  Normalizes, cleanses, and transforms data to as per the customer requirements.
·  Able to rapidly develop data reporting solutions to help client leaders understand the operations, business, and new possibilities to transform the business.
·  Provide advanced visual analytics to help aid with the identification of patterns, trends and anomalies.
·  Evaluate, recommend, and optimize the right data transformation methods to support customer needs.
·  Provide thought leadership and contribute to expanding the knowledge base within area of expertise which includes exploring new methods, tools, techniques and criteria for normalizing and transforming data.
·  Ability to collaborate across teams.

Educational requirements:

·  Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in disciplines like: Computer Science, Healthcare Informatics, Biostatistics & Medical Informatics, Management Information Systems or Statistics and related disciplines.

Required key skills:

Minimum of 2 years of experience in disciplines such as Medicaid, Healthcare medical billing, healthcare reporting, or clinical electronic health record information. Must have skills: Solid hands on strong experience with SQL programming. Skills, knowledge, and/or experience in disciplines such as Healthcare, or clinical electronic health record information. Good verbal & written communication skills to interact with the relevant stakeholders. Analytical and problem solving skills. Experience extracting, transforming, normalizing and making data ready for analysis. Working knowledge of reporting tools like Business Objects or any data extraction tools is a plus. Ability to work with large data sets. Hands on expertise with visualization tools like Tableau, or similar tools is required. Background in advanced mathematics, statistics, R, Hadoop, or Python is a plus.
