Danone North America is looking for a YoCrunch Night Shift Production Supervisor - Dallas in Dallas, TX.

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

General Summary

Supervisor will provide leadership for night shift employees and make sure all products and processed products coming off the line have the highest quality possible. Communicates closely with previous shift supervisor, incoming shift supervisor, production leader and employees on production progress and pursue any problems that arise.

Displays leadership abilities that help empower line employees, leads, and shift leaders to performance levels that contribute to the achievement of corporate, plant, and individual goals.

RESPONSIBILITES:

·  Works across and influences work streams throughout the plant – can flow to work during the shift based on the needs of the business. This will include Logistics, Maintenance, Quality Assurance, Sanitation, Continuous Improvement, Process Teams and Human Resources.
·  Influences and supports all hourly employees across the plant in efforts to follow standards and continuously improve the culture as defined by our Integrated Management Systems.
·  Is in touch with shift results and demonstrates an urgency to facilitate problem solving in order to resume normal operation when a stoppage occurs in any area or process. Owner of business results.
·  Conducts plant tours every two hours to check against safety, quality, 5S, GMP, and overall cleanliness standards. Coaches against standards and ensures resolution within shift.
·  Input data found from plant tour and reasons of any downtime of processes into DSR database.
·  Is able to clearly communicate summary status and make help requests clear to all levels of the organization on a shift-by-shift basis. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
·  Maintains a safe and clean environment for all employees and visitors. Ensures all safety rules, plant rules, GMP, and code of ethics are followed by employees, supervisors, customers and visitors as all times.
·  Can manage emergency situations related to Safety and Quality on a dynamic basis.
·  Leads business needs with broad scope related to improvements in productivity, standards, and administration.
·  Meets production rates and yield as specified by the operations goals.
·  Attends required meetings with leadership and team.
·  Will work a 2,2,3 schedule

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

·  Competent communication in sharing key information, creating and maintaining key relationships, conducting meetings with employees, leaders and Senior Leadership Team
·  Works excellently in teams to trouble shoot, root-cause analysis, and problem solve in unforeseeable events to constantly produce the highest quality product as possible
·  Engages and supports others in projects, shows respect and appreciation for the efforts of others
·  Ability to develop spreadsheets, understand product formulas and percentages, calculate figures, proportions, area, circumference and volume
·  Ability to read data from charts, graphs and instruments and find digressions
·  Strategic ability to create, design, and implement improvements to current procedures
·  Can direct or participate in project management from concept to closure, including selecting participants, establishing process steps, determining workload and deadlines, overseeing review/revision cycles and evaluating outcomes
·  Knows all safety rules, plants rules, GMP and code of ethics

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

·  Bachelor’s degree (BA) from four year College or University
·  Knowledge of PMO regulations preferred
·  Five to ten years related experience and/or training
·  Equivalent combination of education, experience or training that would provide the level of knowledge, skill and ability is acceptable

MATERIALS AND EQUIPMENT:

·  Computers, hand-held calculators, printers, fax machines, copiers and telephones.
·  Safety equipment including safety glasses, hair net and ear plugs

WORKING CONDITIONS and PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

·  While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; climb or balance; and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands, arms, stoop, kneel or crouch. The employee may need to taste and smell the products to assure quality. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
·  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
·  Supervisor must always wear the proper safety equipment
·  The supervisor is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles and extreme heat
·  The noise level in the work environment is loud due to the many high speed motors
·  Proper safety equipment will be provided to the supervisor
