Job description

Job Purpose:

The cashier will provide excellent service to customers, supporting the boutique team in completing daily transactions, within an image conscious environment where teamwork, trust respect and care for each other are key factors.

Key Responsibilities:

Cashiering & Transactions

·  In charge of managing the Point-of-Sale system at designated hours (based on shift)
·  Ensure transactions are completed in an accurate, timely manner
·  Check all conditions of credit card such as customer signature at the back of the card, the signature on pay slip
·  Compute and record totals of transactions at the end of day
·  Run and batch report during closing (whenever being assigned for late shifts)
·  Ensure there is sufficient float money before store opening
·  Count money in cash at beginning of each shift to ensure that amounts are correct and adequate change is available
·  Co-ordinate with other division in the company and third party in case there is any problem about the payment.

STORE SUPPLIES & VAT REFUND

·  Monitor inventory of transaction supplies (e.g. sales memo, carbon roll, invoice holders) and arrange for timely replenishment
·  Monitor inventory of VAT Refund form and arrange for timely replenishment
·  Consolidate and submit VAT Refund report to Customs every month

Cash & Electronic Data Capture (EDC) Machines

·  Process cash to security carrier in each business day
·  Settlement EDC Machine during closing
·  Monitor, in contact and to solve at first stage with EDC Machine company problems occurred during the day

Phone Pick-Up & Customer Data

·  Professionally responds to calls directed to the boutique. Goes beyond the duty of a “mere” telephone operator – must do all possible to assist queries of customers.
·  Able to provide to the customer basic product information on call when customer has queries
·  Answer and follow-up customer complaints/comments to the boutique
·  Inform Boutique Supervisor or Stock Team about product reservation upon customer’s request
·  Report to Person in Charge of boutique regarding major complaints and important communication issues from customers (daily/weekly/monthly)
·  Fill-in and complete customer data in Point of Sale whenever change or update is made. (In case iPad registration deals with some problems).

Operations

·  Follow procedures set to prevent theft / fraud in boutique and prevent security breaches
·  Raise up concerns for discussion where necessary
·  Maintain clean and orderly Point-of-Sale

Teamwork

·  Actively participate in regular meetings to optimize teamwork and problem solving initiatives (morning briefings, monthly meetings)
·  Train new comers on the Point-of-Sale system

Qualifications:

·  Minimum Secondary School graduate
·  Minimum 2 years’ experience in retail Fashion related is a must
·  Able to work in an organized manner with excellent customer service skills
·  Meticulous and detail oriented
·  Strong with numbers is a must.
·  Disciplined and honest
·  Understand English is a plus.
·  Able to withstand retail working hours and work on weekends and public holidays
