ETL Developer

Position Description
CGI is seeking candidates for a Data AnalystETL Developer position within our Regulatory Solutions Group (RSG). The Regulatory Solutions Group leverages the transformative potential of IT to partner with state and local regulatory agencies to make government processes more efficient through business process re-engineering, workflow automation, systems integration, and enhanced business intelligence.

Your future duties and responsibilities
• Expertise and work efforts focus on knowledge of SQL Server 2008 R2 Enterprise Edition

• Establish technical best practices

• Working with multiple development environments, the administrator will also assist performing unit and integration testing

• Work with project management to create and maintain production and development schedules around areas of responsibility

• Provide development estimates

• Participate in design and solution architecture sessions

• Author technical designs and technical portions of functional designs as necessary

• Work with functional staff to establish and clarify requirements

Required qualifications to be successful in this role
• Demonstrated experience with the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to work directly with client stakeholders and explain technical topics to non-technical people

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• Stored Procedures and functions

• Demonstrated experience with the full Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including demonstrated ability to work directly with client stakeholders and explain technical topics to non-technical people

• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team

• 5+ years of SQL experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent experience and 3 years’ experience or a minimum of 6 years of directly related work experience can be substituted in lieu of degree.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS/NON-ESSENTIAL SKILLS REQUIRED

• Fluency in English, additional languages are desirable

• Innovative thinker

• Proven ability to work cross-functionally and cross-regionally across multiple business units

• Excellent presentation, facilitation and communication skills, both written and oral, are required to synthesize key issues, and communicate/persuade constituencies towards specific actions and initiatives

• Well organized, highly motivated, process driven and results oriented with the ability to prioritize and collaborate in a multi-tasking environment
